FORT WORTH, TEXAS (March 21, 2019) – Elbit Systems of America provides a command & control system that forms a common operating picture with inputs from ground, mobile and airborne surveillance sensors to deliver United States Customs and Border Patrol agents situational awareness needed to distinguish threats and respond accordingly. Our solutions allow agents to maintain situational awareness in a variety of terrain. These capabilities will be on display in booth 317 at the 2019 Border Security Expo March 26-27. The conference and exposition will take place in the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas.
“Procurement: Keeping Industry Current in the Complex Area of Government Procurement and the Mission Needs of Border Operators,” a plenary panel, will be moderated by Bobby Brown, senior director of Customs and Border Protection at Elbit Systems of America. The panel begins at 10 a.m. on March 27.
Also on March 27, at 1:30 p.m. inside booth 317, media are invited to learn more details about our border security solutions. Experts will be on hand to answer questions and demonstrate products. Some examples include:
Integrated Fixed Towers
- Elbit Systems of America’s Integrated Fixed Towers (IFT) system is a successfully deployed border security solution. It currently provides 24/7 wide area persistent surveillance capability along portions of the Arizona border, using an integrated network of command and control capabilities and sensor platforms. The IFT system uses radars and cameras mounted on towers that feed information to command & control centers at Border Patrol stations. The system helps keep America and our U.S. Border Patrol agents safe by providing a high degree of situational awareness along the border.
Mobile technologies
- Our Mobile Surveillance Systems leverage proven capabilities, including command and control system features, into a mobile package. Whether they’re mounted on a truck, trailer or relocatable tower, our mobile systems provide extended coverage, modularity, and flexibility for users. These systems are ideal for monitoring hard-to-reach locations or areas with special environmental sensitivity.
Next Generation Command & Control Center
- Our TORCH command and control system & common operating picture fuses, correlates and displays all items of interest detected by a variety of sensors along the border. Using artificial intelligence to facilitate automatic identification and classification, our system reduces operator workload by presenting only the information that requires agent attention, saving time and resources.
