Elbit America has awarded scholarships to 87 undergraduate college students who are the dependents of current members of its workforce. With the current disbursement of scholarships, the company has awarded more than half a million dollars through the Elbit America Dependent Scholarship Program since its inception.
The 2022-2023 scholarship recipients attend more than 50 different colleges and universities, with 36 different major degree programs represented. Among the recent recipients, the most popular areas of study are Engineering, Computer Science, Nursing, Biology and Psychology.
“Elbit America’s Dependent Scholarship Program is one of many benefits that reaffirm our commitment to the success of our employees and their families,” said Lisa Northup, Vice President of Human Resources and Employee Development. “We are proud to support and invest in the next generation of leaders and look forward to what their bright futures hold.”
“One of our core values is to embrace the One Elbit Family. This means our entire workforce is committed to fostering a fun and inclusive environment of friendship, loyalty, and support for one another,” said Elbit America President and CEO Raanan Horowitz. “The Elbit America Dependent Scholarships are a monetary symbol of our collective support and encouragement to those dependents who are challenging themselves and pursuing higher education.”
The Elbit America Dependent Scholarships are available to active employees’ dependents and support new or returning undergraduate college students. Applicants must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or greater and recipients are selected on the basis of their leadership skills, extracurricular activities, and more.
